Groodle waitlist terms of use
Version 1.0 · 30.10.2026
The French version is authoritative. Read the French version
1. Purpose
These terms govern signing up to the Groodle waitlist on groodle.ch and the related pages: confirmation, status page, personal link, unsubscribe. They apply to individuals and to restaurant owners. They do not cover the future use of the Groodle service, which will have its own terms when it opens.
2. Who is responsible
The waitlist is run by SH GROUP SA, a Swiss company limited by shares, UID CHE-110.580.456, registered office in Chêne-Bougeries (Geneva, Switzerland), contact@groodle.ch. See the legal notice.
3. What the waitlist is
- Groodle is a service in preparation, first in Geneva. While it is being built, only the waitlist is open to the public.
- Signing up lets you receive the opening announcement and news from Groodle.
- Signing up is free. No payment takes place and no payment data is requested.
- Signing up is not a service contract. It creates no obligation to buy or to use anything. It guarantees neither an opening date, nor access, nor an offer, nor a discount rate, nor the presence of a given restaurant. For restaurant owners, it commits neither the restaurant nor Groodle to any agreement.
- Groodle may change, suspend or close the waitlist, or decide not to open the service, without compensation.
4. Who can sign up
- You must be at least 16 years old. By signing up, you declare that you meet this condition.
- You give accurate information and an e-mail address that is yours. A restaurant owner must be entitled to act for the restaurant named.
- One sign-up per e-mail address.
- The forms are protected against bots and the number of attempts is limited. Automated or abusive repeated sign-ups are prohibited.
5. Double confirmation
Your sign-up only counts once you click the confirmation link sent by e-mail. The link is valid for 7 days. Without confirmation within that time, the sign-up is deleted and you need to sign up again.
6. Consent and e-mails
By ticking the box, you agree to receive the opening announcement and news from Groodle. E-mails are sent from no-reply@groodle.ch. Each one contains a one-click unsubscribe link. You can withdraw your consent at any time, free of charge and without giving a reason. For a restaurant owner, the contact details are also used to get back in touch, by e-mail or by phone if given, about the opening and the set-up of the restaurant.
7. Personal link
- After confirming, you receive a personal link. Share it only with people who are happy to receive it.
- The following are prohibited: unsolicited mass mailings, fake accounts or disposable addresses, signing yourself up through your own link, bots and any misleading practice. Groodle may disregard or delete suspicious sign-ups.
- The personal link gives no right to any reward. Any future rewards programme will have separate rules, published before it starts.
- You are responsible for how you use your personal link.
8. Prohibited conduct
You may not use the waitlist to: sign up another person without their consent; disrupt the website, get around its protections or extract data from it automatically; infringe the rights of others or the law. Groodle may delete any sign-up that breaches these terms.
9. Unsubscribing
You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every e-mail. Your sign-up is then deleted. To make sure we no longer write to you, Groodle keeps only an irreversible encrypted fingerprint of your address. See the privacy policy.
10. Personal data
How we process your data is described in the privacy policy. You can exercise your rights at contact@groodle.ch.
11. Intellectual property
The Groodle name and logo and the content of the website belong to SH GROUP SA or to their owners. Signing up gives you no rights over them.
12. Liability
The website is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, SH GROUP SA is only liable for damage caused by its intent or gross negligence. It is not liable for indirect damage or for the website being unavailable. The mandatory rights of consumers remain reserved.
13. Changes to these terms
These terms may change, in particular when the service opens. The version in force is published on this page with its date. In the event of a significant change, people on the waitlist are told by e-mail before it takes effect. Anyone who disagrees can unsubscribe at any time.
14. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Geneva, subject to the mandatory places of jurisdiction provided by law, in particular for consumers.
